Love your crazy projects.
I hold a Christmas market here at my apartment in Oslo every year with things made from what can be found in the dumpsters in my 'hood' ...made a thousand dollars this year:-)
My spin painter is from a discarded fan. Nice because it has several speeds. we buy bulk white cards and then paint fifty at a pop. people like a hand painted card far more than a store bought one.
Also have two colorful knitted matching left gloves found in an old cupboard hanging for good luck over our front door.
If you like I can send you a pic of Christmas market spread and the two magic gloves.
Keep up the good work, the world needs inspiration like yours.

Fantastic site - love it! Thanks for the insight. Just wondering am in the process of building a spin art machine.....do you think 1350 rpm is fast enough?
I would like to say how much I love your blog.
I got some kefir grains for Xmas and the kefir I make is wonderful. As you live so close to the coast could you safely make sea salt. I am going to try next time I camp near the ocean.
Your boat is awesome !

WOW! YOU HAVE POSSIBLY THE BEST WEBSITE EVER! I have been searching for a couple months for a website like this! Keep it up! I don't like when DIY websites shut down.... :(
Found your website by watching your video on making the soda can box, on youtube.
I started 3 checking out your site 3 days ago and I'm still not finished.
Liked your site so much, passed it on to my daughter. She homeschools a very inquisitive 10-year-old. And they are both "hooked" on Atomic Shrimp, too.
Thank your for your very entertaining and informative site!

Hello Mike,
I found your tutorial for the drink can to box, I can't wait to try it. Also going to make that Fiercely Fish Pie, it sounds amazing and my mom in-law is British. I think she'll melt when I make it, I'll let you know!
Cheers!

I just did a project bringing together a number of people to create 16 pewter wick holders for lard burning oil lamps. I was only able to display 12 of them for about an hour, due to the shelves they were placed on being insecurely attached, but for that hour, they were lovely.
